Overview
The objective of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy qualification is to develop your skills as a beauty therapist to enable you to provide beauty therapy treatments to professional standards.
This qualification is designed to extend your knowledge beyond Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy so that you can acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to administer the most up-to-date treatments in the beauty industry safely and appropriately.
Age: 16+
It is recommended that learners hold a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualification.
English requirements: If a student is not from a majority English-speaking country they must provide evidence of English language competency at B1 Level according to the Common European Framework Reference (CEFR)
Students must complete the following 5 mandatory units for a total of 44 credits
- Health and Safety Practice in the Salon (18 Credits)
- Client Care and Communication (6 Credits)
- Facial Electrical Treatments (10 Credits)
- Body Electrical Treatments (10 Credits)
- Body Massage (10 Credits)
Students must complete 2 of the following units for a total of 16 credits
- Hot Stone Therapy (8 Credits)
- Dermaplaning Treatments (8 Credits)
- Indian Head Massage (8 Credits)
- Aromatherapy Massage (8 Credits)
- Self-Tanning Services (6 Credits)
