Teaching Assistant

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to enhance the educational experience within our institution. This role involves supporting lead teachers in the planning and delivery of educational content and providing additional support to students. The ideal candidate will be keen to contribute to both the educational and personal development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist in organising the classroom environment, including supplies and materials, and support the lead teacher during lessons by helping to manage classroom dynamics and pupil behaviour.
  • Educational Assistance: Work directly with pupils, either one-to-one or in small groups, to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
  • Material Preparation: Aid in preparing lesson plans under the teacher’s supervision, including gathering resources and setting up necessary equipment for lessons.
  • Assessment Assistance: Support the monitoring of pupils’ progress by assisting with the marking of assignments and tests. Provide feedback on pupil performance and help maintain academic records.
  • Student Support: Offer additional assistance to pupils who require extra help with their studies, and be available to discuss their academic and personal concerns.

What We Need from You:

  • Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in an education-related field.
    • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role would be advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Good organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Patience and empathy towards students.
