Overview
The Level 1 Functional Skills Mathematics qualification is designed to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics at the appropriate level and the ability to apply mathematical thinking to solve problems effectively in the workplace and other real‑life contexts.
No prior qualifications or experience are necessary to enrol on the Level 1 Functional Skills Mathematics course. You only need to:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Complete a Functional Skills assessment to establish the appropriate level (Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 or Level 2)
All entry decisions are made on an individual basis.

The annual tuition fee for Home (UK) students is £700. *

Upon successful completion, you may progress to the Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics qualification.
